Kyren Eleby 285 pound quarterback

Kyren Eleby is the biggest high school football quarterback in the country and Jared Lorenzen is looking down with a big smile on his face. Opposing defenses have an extremely hard time bringing him to the ground.

In fact, if you saw the Class of 2026 recruit in public, you would think he is an offensive lineman!

Eleby starts on varsity for St. Louis University High School in Missouri. At 6-foot-2, 285 pounds, it is very easy to pick him out of a crowd.

The teachers did not initially believe that a young man of his size can play quarterback until they saw him play. They are in awe of what he can do on the gridiron as a dual-threat athlete.

Although Eleby finds at lot of success as a runner, like an unrestrained freight train rumbling down the tracks, he can really spin it. His deep ball is a thing of beauty.

Eleby put on most of his weight during the pandemic in 2020 but it has not slowed him down. The monstrous quarterback continues to make plays with his surprisingly nimble feet and his cannon arm.

Both of those things are in his blood! Kyren’s older brother Kaleb was also a standout quarterback at Western Michigan who signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of college and played last season in the XFL.

Unfortunately, the Eleby family’s athleticism has not carried the Junior Bills thus far.

Saint Louis University High started its season on the road with a loss in Chicago. It bounced back with a win in Week 2 but dropped to 1-2 on Friday.

Regardless of how the season shakes out, Kyren Eleby has cemented himself in high school football history by simply stepping onto the field. Rarely does a quarterback of his size make it past the middle school level because they are usually forced to switch positions.

Fortunately, we get to enjoy the 285-pound signal-caller in all of his glory!
