The Brooklyn Nets have officially traded Kyrie Irving for a solid haul. After requesting a trade for a second time, the franchise finally follows through.
Many believed the Los Angeles Lakers would pull the trigger. Instead, it sounds like the Dallas Mavericks get a deal done.
According to Shams Charania, the Nets are acquiring Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and multiple draft picks. Meanwhile, Kyrie Irving will be playing alongside Luka Doncic.

This is a massive move for the Mavericks. Especially considering they’re right in the thick of the playoff race. Kyrie Irving brings a ton to the table and will serve as a great asset to Luka Doncic.

Considering Kyrie Irving was threatening to sit out the remainder of the season if he wasn’t traded, Brooklyn was able to make a great move.
So, it appears the Mavericks are all in this year while the Nets pick up multiple assets to build around Kevin Durant.
