Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens had a chance to qualify for the AFC playoffs on Sunday night after starting the season with a 1-5 record. The Ravens’ season turnaround ultimately fell one play short, however, as they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night on a missed last-second field goal, costing them the AFC North title and a trip to the postseason.

After Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers took a 26-24 lead with just 55 seconds left on the clock, Lamar Jackson was able to drive the Ravens’ offense down the field and put them in a position to win with a 44-yard field goal.

Unfortunately for the Ravens and their fans, however, rookie kicker Tyler Loop pushed the field goal wide right, sending the Ravens home and the Steelers to the playoffs.

Jackson, however, apparently feels the refs are more to blame than Loop, as he hopped on social media after the game to shine a spotlight on what he believes was a missed call.

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson took to Twitter to react to an apparent missed penalty call on the game-losing missed field goal against the Pittsburgh Steelers

In the hours after the heartbreaking loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Lamar Jackson took to Twitter to react to a screenshot posted by former NFL defensive back Jason McCourty that critiqued a non-called leveraging penalty on Pittsburgh Steelers’ defensive lineman during the game-deciding field goal, which was ultimately missed by rookie kicker Tyler Loop.

In the loss to the Steelers, Lamar Jackson was his vintage MVP self as he completed 11 of 18 passes for 238 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception, while also avoiding numerous sacks in a fashion that only he could pull off.

As for the Steelers, the AFC North-clinching win over the Ravens sent them to the AFC Playoffs, where they’ll host the Houston Texans in the Wild Card round on Monday, January 12.
