Lane Kiffin Amplifies Feud Against Paul Finebaum With Petty Tweet About Auburn Tigers

Whether it’s real or just an act, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin does not seem to like legendary ESPN SEC analyst Paul Finebaum.

Kiffin’s feud with Finebaum dates back to his time at USC, when he contends that Finebaum’s rambling helped lead to his firing.

“How did someone like Lane Kiffin ever get these jobs? How did he land the Raiders job? At Tennessee? And particularly the one at SC? People think it’s because of his father, Monte, the great defensive wizard,” Finebaum said at the time. “In some respects, Lane Kiffin is the Miley Cyrus of college football. He has very little talent, but we simply can’t take our eyes off him.”

The two appeared to make amends when Kiffin took the Ole Miss job. But he’s since turned up the hate for Finebaum, and he took things to a new level with a petty tweet on Tuesday mocking Finebaum.

In a quote tweet of a video that showed Finebaum saying “there is no chance Auburn loses to Cal,” Kiffin replied by saying “@Finebaum, what are you good at again?”

The tweet appears to be a follow-up to Kiffin’s comments (on Finebaum’s own show!) over the summer when he told Finebaum directly, “I don’t really know what you’re good at.”

Kiffin is widely regarded as one of the top coaches in the nation these days. Finebaum even recently suggesting that he could be the next coach of the Florida Gators.

But Finebaum hasn’t ever walked back his take. If anything, he’s doubled down on his belief that Kiffin isn’t all that good of a head coach. Which is why he doesn’t believe Ole Miss, for all its talent, is a real national title contender.

Only time will tell. But it’s clear Kiffin isn’t Paaaawwwlll’s biggest fan.
