New LSU head coach Lane Kiffin made his first ESPN appearance as the Tigers’ head coach on Saturday when his new team took on Houston in the Texas Bowl. But it doesn’t appear he liked what he saw all that much.

Kiffin joined the broadcast early in the second quarter with LSU leading the Cougars, 14-7. He discussed a number of topics, including his excitement for his former team, Ole Miss, after their victory over Tulane in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

But it didn’t take long for Kiffin to leave his new team hanging.

After his appearance on ESPN, Kiffin didn’t hang around to see how the Tigers fared against Houston. Video caught Kiffin leaving the stadium and getting into a black SUV just moments after his interview.

Didn’t even watch his new team until the end of the game. Made sure everyone heard him on TV and then got in the car and left,” one fan wrote on X. “LSU fans are going to take this so worse than Ole Miss, Tennessee, USC, Alabama, and the Raiders.”

Kiffin has tried his best to unite the LSU and Ole Miss fan bases in recent weeks, including state legislators. But it doesn’t appear that those efforts are working.

However, if Kiffin leaves LSU in the same fashion he left Ole Miss, he may accidentally unite the pair in their hatred of the poairzing head coach.
