An LSU baseball fan was arrested over the weekend for fighting with an Ole Miss supporter. Video of a sucker punch was captured by bystanders. The incident has since gone viral on social media.
Lane Kiffin was one user to respond a clip of the rivalry feud. He welcomed backlash from his former fanbase while trolling the Rebels with a now-deleted message.
LSU’s baseball team travelled to Oxford for a three-game SEC series in Mississippi. It was beaten soundly 12-2 on Saturday afternoon.
One dejected Tigers fan attempted to leave Swayze Field amid rousing from the opposing fanbase. He was sprayed with a drink while exiting the venue. It sparked a fight that eventually led to his arrest.

A beer was thrown on the LSU fan. He reacted by punching an Ole Miss onlooker, who might not have been the person to actually spray the drink.

The LSU fan, according to the Clarion Ledger, was arrested and booked on simple assault. It was an ugly look for both sides. There is no love lost between the rivals.
Lane Kiffin fueled the fire.
The LSU football coach is the cause of the most recent contention. Kiffin bailed for Baton Rouge after leading the Rebels to the College Football Playoff last season.
His treachery has created division. He continues to feed into the animosity rather than ease tensions. He did so again by celebrating the LSU sucker punch.
In a now-deleted tweet, the head coach wrote, “One thing you of all people know Matt is LSU fans aren’t gonna EVER lose a fight to Ole Miss fans ever. #FAFO”

Lane Kiffin can’t help but to troll Ole Miss. This latest attempt appeared to get him in some hot water with the folks at LSU.
It only adds to the Rebels’ hatred of their former leader. The atmosphere for his return to Oxford this September is already expected to be hostile.
The SEC doesn’t need anything adding to the unfriendliness, especially a sitting head coach encouraging fighting between the fanbases.
