Lane Kiffin earned an automatic extension with Ole Miss’s win against Oklahoma.
On Saturday afternoon, the Ole Miss Rebels picked up their 7th win of the season after defeating the Oklahoma Sooners.
According to college football analyst Steve Berkowitz, Kiffin triggered an automatic 1-year extension worth $9 million.

As of Dec. 8, Kiffin’s deal with Ole Miss Athletic Foundation, will be set to run through 12/31/2031. Added year currently set to be worth $9 million, with $7.2 million guaranteed. Kiffin also has $150,000 bonus this season.
Kiffin is currently renegotiating his contract with Ole Miss and is reportedly receiving offers from other schools.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Florida was set to offer Kiffin a contract worth $13.5 million/ year.

Kiffin has said that he’s trying not to focus on his future during the season.

“If you just keep going and chasing, and you do that often, you’re missing things right in front of you. You’re always listening and looking, and that’s been a really common theme in my life from a job standpoint, and from a personal standpoint, of just missing what was right there in front of me. So I think I view that much differently now.”
