Laremy Tunsil’s NFL draft day was one of the most unforgettable in recent memory. Unfortunately, people remember for all the wrong reasons.
Tunsil, a projected No. 1 overall pick out of the University of Mississippi, saw his draft stock tumble after a video of him smoking weed from a gas mask surfaced online. With the footage leaking, the lineman saw teams begin to pass him over as he fell all the way to the 13th selection.
The Dolphins wound up getting the steal of the draft. Tunsil started 77 games over three seasons with the team before being dealt to Houston. With the Texans, he’s landed a pair of Pro Bowl appearances over the last three years.
While the lineman has seemingly moved on from the incident, he’s now making one final move to put his draft night behind him.
In a post on Twitter, Tunsil announced that he’d be selling his infamous gas mask video as an NFT. This coming just one day before the 2022 NFL Draft is set to take place.
Laremy Tunsil Takes To Social Media To Sell His Gas Mask Video
For the past 6 years, I've been asked about this moment. The gas mask. I've spent 6 years trying to do rather than say – on the field and off the field. Fall 2021 I spoke with @complex for the first time about this moment and today, the day before #draftday

I'm officially moving on and putting this moment in the past.
I'm minting a 1 of 1 NFT of the infamous gas mask video to be listed. A portion of the proceeds will benefit @lastprisonerprj which supports those incarcerated for cannabis offenses.— Laremy Tunsil (@KingTunsil78) April 27, 2022
I'm looking toward and excited for the future and am grateful for all of those that supported me on my draft night and those that have and will continue to support my journey!

Crazy to think how NFL teams reacted so negatively to cannabis just 6 years ago. Laremy Tunsil ended up being one of the best players in that 2016 Draft.
