Devin Fitzgerald, the son of future Pro Football Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald, bears a striking resemblance to his father as a pass-catcher. He made a spectacular one-handed grab on Friday that looked just like the 11-time Pro Bowler in his prime.

It is not hard to see why the Class of 2026 recruit is rapidly rising up the boards!

Fitzgerald, a junior at Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, is considered a three-star prospect ranked as the No. 4 player in Arizona. He has 11 scholarship offers from Akron, Arizona, Bowling Green, Minnesota, Temple, Washington State, Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn, Yale and his dad’s alma mater— Pittsburgh. Both his star rating and list of offers are going to increase over the next 18 months.

At 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, Fitzgerald made 38 catches for 566 yards and nine touchdown in 11 games during the 2024-25 high school football season. His numbers are not as impressive as his tape.

Fitzgerald’s absolutely bodied a defensive back for the game-winning touchdown in Week 1.

However, his catch during a 54-0 victory over Boulder Creek on Friday was by far the best of his career. He showed remarkable body control while leaping backward into the end zone and hauling in the pass over the cornerback.

Larry Fitzgerald might have the best hands in NFL history. If you threw the ball within a six-foot radius, he was coming down with the catch. It was a sure-thing.

The apple does not fall far from the tree because Devin Fitzgerald looks identical to his dad on the field.

There is still a very long way to go in the recruiting process. Devin will not have to make an official decision until February 2026 if he does not sign early next December. If he continues to make freakishly athletic one-handed grabs like the one on Friday, whichever school receives his commitment is going to be very glad to have him!
