Skip Bayless is enjoying LeBron James’ downfall.

This season, James has barely played due to lingering injuries and has not looked good while on the court, averaging a career-low 14 points per game for the Lakers.

On Thursday night, LeBron failed to score over 10 points for the first time in 17 years when he decided to pass the ball to Rui Hachimura for a game-winning shot.

LeBron didn’t mind sacrificing his record because he made the right play that won his team the game.

“Just playing the game the right way. I always make the right play, that’s been my M.O. That’s how I was taught that game, that’s how I’ve been my whole career. There was not even one second-guessing there. Once they doubled AR and the ball found me, I knew it was a numbers game and we had a four-on-three advantage. Just tried to put the ball on time and on target and Rui stuck it.”

Bayless, who has trashed the Lakers’ star throughout his career, mocked his longtime nemesis on social media.

LeBron fans immediately fired back at Bayless.

“You waited for 2 decades to finally be able to comment on the streak ending, yet when it finally ended, you couldn’t even get a banger out of it
You are so washed” commented one fan

“It is almost 2026 and we still have the privilege of seeing a 74-year-old Skip Bayless hate on a 41-year-old LeBron James” said another fan.

It seems like Bayless is going to enjoy mocking LeBron in the twilight of his career.
