LeBron James apparently has the power to overrule his coach’s game plans.

Earlier this season, there was a rumor that James frequently overruled Lakers coach Darvin Ham’s playcalls during games and told his teammates to ignore his coach.

On his ‘Mind The Game’ podcast with JJ Redick, LeBron openly admitted to overruling his coach during a recent game against the Clippers.

“In the Clipper game, we had switching built in versus Kawhi and versus James, and I vetoed it in the second half.”

LeBron said he vetoed his coach because he knows Clippers coach Ty Lue’s schemes very well.

“I know Ty Lue, more than any other player that has been with Ty Lue and I know he plays target ball too and I knew in order for us to get back into the game switching anybody else into Kawhi is not favorable for us.”

Here’s how fans reacted to LeBron openly admitting to overruling his coach’s playcalls.
