We already have our first viral moment of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
On Friday afternoon, Paris held their Olympic opening ceremony to introduce all of the world’s athletes ahead of the upcoming games.
NBA superstar LeBron James and tennis star Coco Gauff were chosen to be the flagbearers for Team USA and they two spoke glowingly about the honor.
Coco Gauff: “It means a lot to me to represent team USA and be with the goat here, Mister LeBron James. It means a lot. I’m so excited. I can’t wait to do well in the games.”
LeBron James: “It’s an honor. It goes back all the way to my home town. To all our communities. For myself and Coco to be able to represent our country.. us being black kids as well representing our culture and where we come from, it gives everyone so much hope where we come from. That’s all we can ask for. We take it with the utmost responsibility and honor.” 🥹
Unfortunately Team USA was met in Paris with pouring rain, but that led to us getting an iconic visual thanks to the weather in France.
