Bronny James made headlines on Monday with his first championship as an NBA player. The recently drafted hooper won an off-the-court title while battling against fellow summer league stars.

His father, LeBron, was quick to celebrate the performance with a couple of posts on social media.

The younger James joined his dad as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers after being selected with the 55th overall pick in the most recent draft. While that selection was accompanied by much criticism, Bronny is doing his best to focus on his professional future.

That’s included his start in the summer league, which has seen mixed results to this point.

In his debut, the youngster shot just 2-9 from the floor while totaling four points. Things went further downhill in his most recent outing as he shot 0-8 from the three-point line.

“I’m in a little slump right now,” he said after his third summer league contest. He’s still yet to hit a shot from beyond the arc as a pro.

He might be experiencing shooting woes on the court, but that was far from the case in his latest competition.

Bronny James banked $10K by winning the Call of Duty championship.

James competed against other summer league players in a Call of Duty tournament and cashed a cool $10,000 by placing first.

His father was quick to celebrate.

“Aye! He really like that on that Duty!”

LeBron posted two photos on his Instagram story, one of which showed Bronny gaming and another of his son hoisting his championship belt.

Bronny may be struggling on the court ahead of his rookie year, but he’s thriving away from it! He’ll gladly bank that $10K while looking for ways to snap out of his current slump.
