LeBron James was a guest on Monday Night Football’s Manningcast and dropped some interesting tidbits about being recruited by NFL reams during the NBA lockout in 2011.
According to LeBron both the Cowboys and the Seahawks offered him a contract to play in the NFL and sent him custom team jerseys with his name on them. LeBron says he briefly thought about going to the NFL but the lockout in the NBA ended before it could become a reality.
LeBron James says that not only did Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones offer him a contract during the 2011 NFL lockout, but Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll did so too.

LeBron James said Jerry Jones and the Cowboys and Pete Carroll and the Seahawks offered him an NFL contract during the NBA lockout 10 years ago. He said he still has a Cowboys jersey and a Seahawks jersey from those offers in 2011.
