Given that LeBron James’ is one of the greatest athletes to ever live, it perhaps comes as no surprise that he has quite the ego.
Even still, the extent to which LeBron’s egomania reveals itself can be remarkable at times, as evidenced by this latest viral clip from Team USA basketball camp.
In recent days, a video of LeBron doing a free throw with his USA teammates has been going viral. While that seems benign enough in and of itself, it’s the details that truly highlight just how delusional LeBron can be.
You see, the contest was meant to be an “off-hand” contest, which meant everyone was shooting with their weaker hand — usually the left. LeBron, however, claiming he WRITES with his left hand, took all of his free throws with his shooting-dominant right hand, obviously leading to him winning the contest.
LeBron clearly didn’t sense the deadly irony in him winning an off-hand free throw contest with his dominant hand, as the clip ends with him earnestly crowning himself.

LeBron and the four-time defending gold medal-winning Team USA will begin their 2024 Olympics on Sunday, July 28, against Serbia. They will then take on South Sudan — who almost beat Team USA in an exhibition match over the weekend — on July 31 and Puerto Rico on August 3.
Not only is LeBron the leader of the men’s basketball team, but his fellow Olympians also voted him to be the men’s flag bearer at the opening ceremony.
