If you’re a New York Jets fan, the name Adam Gase likely sends shivers down your spine. The former Jets head coach oversaw an absolutely disastrous tenure in New York, and Le’Veon Bell’s career was essentially ruined by Gase.

Now, Le’Veon Bell is fighting back. He’s blasting the playcalling of Adam Gase years after playing for him.

Adam Gase had an okay first year with the New York Jets, as the team went 7-9. That’s not great, but hey, it’s the 21st century New York Jets. it wasn’t a total disaster. But, that was Bell’s first year with the Jets after signing a massive contract with the team following a holdout year as a member of the Steelers. And, things did not go well for him.

Bell had just 789 rushing yards on 245 carries to go along with 461 receiving yards on 66 catches. He only scored 4 total touchdowns, and his 3.2 yards per carry was simply abysmal.

But, anyone who watched the Jets offense that year knows just how zany the playcalling was. Adam Gase seemingly loved setting up Le’Veon Bell to fail.

Bell played just two games in 2020 before essentially forcing his way out of New York, ending up with the Chiefs.  But, even though nearly four years have passed since he last played for Adam Gase, he’s still ripping his play calling, taking to Twitter on Thursday to do so.

The Jets went 2-14 and Gase was fired immediately after the team’s final game. He’s been out of football since, and it seems like Le’Veon Bell has the right idea about him.
