Based on his activity on Twitter, former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell is clearly quite engaged with the WNBA.

Earlier this week, we brought you the story of Bell “joking” (so he claimed) that Chicago Sky players Angel Reese and Kysre Gondrezick were “fives” — as opposed to being dimes.

Brown isn’t *only* using his Twitter account to demean the appearance of WNBA players, however, as he recently compared Caitlin Clark to Michael Jordan after the Indiana Fever star set the WNBA record for assists in a single game with 19.

“I missed Michael Jordan’s prime, I will NOT miss Caitlin Clark’s,” Bell tweeted on Thursday, July 18.

So far during her rookie season — which is now at its halfway point, as this weekend is the WNBA’s All-Star game — Clark has started in all 26 games and is averaging 17.1 points, 8.2 assists, and 5.8 rebounds. As a result, Clark remains the massive betting favorite to win the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year Award.

Clark’s main competition is Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese is averaging 13.5 points, 12 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game.

During his rookie season in 1984-85, Jordam averaged 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game with the Chicago Bulls, and was named Rookie of the Year and to the All-NBA Second Team.

Other than his WNBA commentary on Twitter, Bell — who played in the NFL from 2013 to 2021 to Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets, Kansas City Chiefs, Baltimore Ravens, and Tampa Bay Bucs — is a boxer these days, having fought in three professional fights thus far (his record is 2-1).

Most recently, Bell defeated boxer Tristan Hamm by unanimous decision in a bout at NRG Arena in Houston on May 25.
