Lions Get Screwed By Refs Over Packers False Start Non-Call During Thanksgiving Day Game

NFL

The Detroit Lions got screwed badly by the refs over a false start non-call.

On 4th and 1, the Packers offense clearly deserved a false start penalty, but the refs say that Packers head coach Matt LaFleur called it before the play.

FOX replay showed LaFleur clearly did not call a timeout before the false start. The Packers would proceed to score a touchdown on the next play.

Lions fans were clearly angry with the refs over the non-call.

“When will @NFLOfficiating start holding refs accountable? The NFL fines guys like Mack Hollins for lowering his shoulder on a football play, but won’t hold refs accountable for affecting direct outcomes of games?” commented one fan.

“Refs are absolutely betting on the games, just a matter of time until someone finds out.” said another fan.
