Head coach Dan Campbell, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, and the Detroit Lions might be the most creative team in the league on offense. They proved that once again on Sunday in a huge matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
The Lions schemed up a touchdown opportunity for offensive lineman Dan Skipper. Skipper made the most of his opportunity, catching the pass from Jared Goff for a touchdown and representing linemen everywhere.
Before Sunday, Dan Skipper’s biggest NFL moment was one of infamy, as a controversial play that would’ve won the Lions a game was overturned last season when the referees said that Dan Skipper didn’t report as an eligible receiver.
I couldn’t hear it on the ESPN English feed, but the Spanish one you can hear referee Brad Allen announce No. 70 (Dan Skipper) as an eligible receiver. At least that part of Allen’s story is accurate. Not much the Lions (w no timeouts) can do right before a snap to correct Allen. https://t.co/mRKHwFhGK5 pic.twitter.com/bxPQrBqCoz

On Sunday, he made a new memory. Take a look.

Big man touchdowns are the absolute best. That’s Dan Skipper’s first-ever touchdown, though he had a catch last year.
Unfortunately, the Detroit Lions lost, 48-42, in a back-and-forth classic that saw both Jared Goff and Josh Allen absolutely go off.
