LSU Baseball Recreates Viral White House Video To Celebrate National Championship

The LSU baseball team visited the White House on Monday to celebrate a national championship. While there, the team recreated a viral moment with a not to the 2019 football squad.

The Tigers won a title on the gridiron behind the play of Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, and Ja’Marr Chase. A video from their recognition ceremony in Washington DC will never be forgotten.

The ’19 LSU Tigers boasted, arguably, the best team in college football history. The group went a perfect 15-0 behind the nation’s top-ranked offense.

The Tigers averaged more than 48 points a game. The defense surrendered less than 22 points a contest. LSU beat 12 teams by double digits, including Oklahoma and Clemson in the College Football Playoff.

The group was dominant led by future NFL stars. It further cemented itself in college football lore after the title victory.

LSU’s ‘Get the Gat’ video lives on.

The Tigers created a social media video to ‘Get the Gat’ by Lil Elt. It immediately went viral in 2019.

Five years later, the LSU baseball team brought it back to the forefront.

Infielder Michael Braswell posted a recreation of the clip to the on TikTok. It was pure cinema.

The Tigers celebrated a title at the White House.

LSU just won its second baseball championship in three seasons. The Tigers stormed through the College World Series with a perfect 5-0 run.

They took down Coastal Carolina in the final to hoist the trophy. The club was recognized at the White House this week as most national champions are.

LSU went 53-15 in the 2025 college baseball season. That included a 19-11 mark in SEC play.

The team had nine players selected in the ’25 MLB Draft, including first rounder Kade Anderson. Chase Shores, Anthony Eyanson, and Ethan Frey were each selected within the first three rounds.

Head coach Jay Johnson will look to keep success rolling in 2026. There will be pieces to replace in Baton Rouge, but LSU hopes to be back at the White House this time next year.
