Former LSU Tigers safety Matthew Langlois does not use his X account all that often. In fact, Langlois had not posted on the site since April.

That is, until Monday, when Langlois returned to the site for the first time in six months to tell the world just how much he disliked now-fired LSU coach Brian Kelly.

Ex-LSU Safety Matthew Langlois Slams Brian Kelly After Firing

I was FORCED to medically retire before I could get a 2nd or 3rd opinion,” Langlois said in a since-deleted post. “When I was played well before my injury, I’d hear from Coach Kelly quite often. The second I got injured, not a word since. Genuinely one of the worst humans I’ve been around, ever.

“Unless you were producing positively for him on the field, he could care less about you,” he said in a follow-up post that has also been removed. “He’d pass me in the hallways, not a glimpse, not a word. He’s only in it for the money and himself. Absolutely ruined the culture of LSU football and I hope people see the real Brian Kelly.”

Langlois missed all of 2022 and 2023 after tearing his ACL during his sophomore season.

In addition, Langlos reposted a video sharing the story of Greg Brooks Jr., an LSU linebacker who battled brain cancer and alleged that Kelly never reached out to him or his family throughout the recovery process.

Similarly, the father of former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy claimed that Kelly never reached out following his son’s death earlier this year. However, Lacy’s mother has since refuted that claim.

Either way, it’s clear that Kelly had a tenuous-at-best relationship with his players and their families. And while that’s a bad look even if you win, it’s way worse when you’re not even able to produce success on the field.
