The New England Patriots play the Denver Broncos in NFL Playoff action on Sunday. A trip to the Super Bowl is on the line.
Wide receiver Mack Hollins will be in action after returning from the IR. He cosplayed a popular movie villain in the pregame.
Hollins is an interesting cat.
His teammates compare him to Tarzan. He doesn’t eat vegetables or use utensils. He believes felines steal your soul. He rarely wears shoes.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a player as interesting as Hollins in the NFL. By all accounts, it’s welcomed. His teams love him. Teammates, past and present, don’t have a bad word to say about him.
Who is Mack Hollins?
The pass catcher’s path to this point is unique. He walked on at North Carolina before becoming nation’s top big-play threat.
As a junior, he led the FBS in yards per catch. Two years later, he became a fourth-round draft pick.
Across eight seasons, he’s played for the Eagles, Bills, Dolphins, Falcons and Raiders. He’s currently in Year 1 with the Patriots.
Hollins started 13 games for the team this season. He hauled in 46 receptions for 550 yards and a pair of touchdowns along the way.
An injury sent him to the IR late in the season. He’ll make his return in the AFC Championship against Denver.

Hollins went viral in the pregame.
The wideout imitated the character Luther, played by David Patrick Kelly, from the 1979 film The Warriors. He creepily clanked empty glass bottles together while repeating the phrase, “Warriors, come out to playyyyy.”
It was spot on.
Fans, however, are questioning whether Mack Hollins actually finished the movie. Luther is defeated at the end of the film.
Hollins’ cosplay choice directly counters his current goal. The Patriots want to be the last team standing this NFL season. Hollins does not want to receive the same fate as Luther. It would mean the objective was not met.
That being said, the imitation was eerie. It also got the fans talking. He’ll hope to avoid a demise similar to Luther’s on Sunday and book a ticket to the Super Bowl.
