WNBA Veteran Marina Mabrey Vehemently Denies Sleeping With Yankees Fan In Viral Photo From Bed

Marina Mabrey wants to be very clear that she is not the woman in a viral photo on social media. At no point did she spend the night with an anonymous Yankees fan who goes by the name ‘Shoeless Dro Jackson.’

This is one of those things that is so extremely stupid that it could not be funnier. One of the most important role players in the WNBA somehow got wrapped into a ridiculous rumor on the internet and actually chose to respond.

Mabrey, a seven-year WNBA veteran, played 24 games with the Sky and 16 games with the Sun last season. She forced a trade from Chicago to Connecticut midway through the season and it had nothing to do with Angel Reese, despite what some rumors suggested.

However, the 28-year-old shooting guard started all 24 games with the Sky but started only three games with the Sun. Mabry requested another trade back in February as a result of her current standing with the organization. The team refused.

In this current age of women’s empowerment and support of the players, the CT Sun threatening to force Marina Mabrey to play for them after her trade request is mind-boggling.Why would anyone try to force someone to play on their team when they don’t want to be there? It’s counterproductive in a ton of ways and everyone we have spoken to is perplexed about how they are handling Marina, after trading away Hall of Fame caliber players.

The relationship between Marina Mabrey and the Connecticut Sun is rocky. Perhaps that is why she decided to address a viral post on X. She wants the world to know that she is not fooling around during the most important offseason of her career. Or she just thinks it is funny.

This whole thing started on Wednesday morning. A Dodgers burner account by the name of ‘Kelli Belly’ took a shot at the Yankees. A Yankees burner account by the name of ‘Shoeless Dro Jackson’ stood up for Kelli after she was insulted for the size of her forehead.

A Padres fan responded back to Jackson’s reply to say that Kelli Belly was not going to let him sleep with her because of how he defended her on social media. Jackson replied with a photo in bed that has since been viewed more than 18.5 million times.
