Mario Cristobal Showed Utmost Disrespect To Florida After Miami Turned Recruits Against Gators

Mario Cristobal was fired up after a dominant college football win over Florida on Saturday. Miami went into The Swamp and embarrassed their in-state rival on its home field while showing very little respect.

The Hurricanes’ head coach did not refrain from trash-talking the Gators, however, he waited until the clock hit zero!

Cristobal started his third year with ‘The U’ at 1-0 in Gainesville. Cam Ward popped off for 385 yards and three touchdowns in his debut. Damien Martinez went for 65 yards on 15 carries. Miami’s defense held Florida under 300 total yards. It was a statement win over an awful team.

Not only did the Hurricanes win 41-17, they did so in an impolite manner. Credit to the SEC officiating crew for allowing them to taunt the Gators without a flag.

The disregard for decorum began right away on the very first touchdown of the game.

Miami wasted no time. Wide receiver Jacolby George immediately hit the ‘Gator Chomp’ with a thumbs down after ninth-year (!!) tight end Cam McCormick opened the season with six.

That was only the beginning!

George found the end zone on the receiving end of a nasty throw from Ward in the third quarter. Fefensive back D.J. Douglas somehow ended up in the hedges.

The Hurricanes promptly ‘Gator Chomped’ the home crowd into submission.

Things got so out of hand that Florida’s recruits started rooting against the team that hosted them!

Cristobal kept his composure until the game was over. Gators fans were ruthless toward the third-year head coach and his team leading up to kickoff. Miami quickly shut them up on the field.

If the beatdown was not demoralizing enough, Cristobal celebrated the win by breaking the ‘Gator Chomp’ over his knee while making his way off of the field. It was savage.

Florida fans are furious with the move. They mocked Mario Cristobal for doing the most after beating a bad team to reach the .500 mark during his two-year (and one game) tenure.

That’s a fair point — but… the Gators lost and got Gator Chomped on their home field… so…
