Mark Andrews Has Terrible Drop To Cost Ravens The Season Minutes After Costly Fumble

Mark Andrews has had a fine career as a Baltimore Raven, as he’s been one of the best tight ends in the league for quite some time now. But, barring something happening in future seasons to make up for it, he will never be forgiven by the fanbase for two egregious mistakes late in the team’s 27-25 loss in the AFC Championship Game.

Andrews had a costly fumble and then dropped the game-tying two-point conversion, both mistakes in the 4th quarter. Those mistakes are the kind that are talked about forever.

With eight minutes and change left, Andrews caught a pass over the middle and looked to make a move to get upfield and pick up more yards with the Ravens trailing by 5. But, a disaster ensued.

Those kinds of things just can’t happen in the playoffs, and it was Baltimore’s third turnover of the game. Somehow, that’s not even the top mistake that he will be known for.

Oh no, Mark Andrews. With Isaiah Likely as the heir-apparent in Baltimore at tight end, and Andrews having one year left on his deal, that may be his last play in a Ravens uniform.

The Ravens have tragically fallen short again, and Mark Andrews is to blame for a lot of it.
