It’s been a complete mess for the Dallas Mavericks since the trade deadline. After making a big move to land Kyrie Irving, the team is basically falling apart.
For that reason, Skip Bayless lit up Mark Cuban over the trade that put Dallas in the spot they’re currently in.
The Mavs are in 11th place in the Western Conference as of this publishing. Many believed they would be a legitimate title contender after acquiring Kyrie Irving.
Instead, they’re falling out of the playoff race. Here is Skip Bayless laying into Mark Cuban over the trade.
This was a swing and a miss. Mark Cuban traded Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, a 1st round pick AND two 2nd round picks for Kyrie Irving, who has been a bust — at least in the win column. More @undisputed, now on FS1. pic.twitter.com/so8bPhtoZc

Bayless actually makes some good points about Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Watching their games, they don’t seem to mesh well together on the court.
There is a chance they figure it out and make a push for the play-in tournament. However, based on recent reports, the Mavs might actually be considering shutting down both Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Here is Shannon Sharpe sharing his take on those reports.
The Mavericks are reportedly considering shutting down Kyrie Irving and Luka Dončić:

The Mavericks are collapsing at the wrong time of the season. With the playoffs right around the corner, the organization was hoping to be in a better position right now.
Instead, the Luka Doncic-Kyrie Irving experiment hasn’t panned out so far.
Keep a close eye on these two, as Dallas could opt to shut them down sooner, rather than later.
