In an interview with ESPN’s show Mike & Mike on Friday morning, Mark Wahlberg revealed that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell didn’t want players to appear on HBO’s Ballers when the show began filming it’s first season.

Thankfully Wahlberg was eventually able to convince the league that it was a good idea to have their biggest stars to appear on the show.
