Marshall Football Coach Attempted To Poach Ohio State’s Fastest Players With Unlimited Biscuits

Marshall head coach Charles Huff understands that his college football team is out-matched by Ohio State in terms of its roster. The Buckeyes famously spent north of $20 million to assemble a group of players who are expected to win a national championship while the Thundering Herd try to finish with a winning record and reach a bowl game.

Name, Image and Likeness money can create a significant talent gap between power conference teams and their early-season opponents, as we will see on the field in Columbus on Saturday.

In an effort to change that discrepancy, Huff took a very bold approach to his press conference on Tuesday. He actively tried to poach players from Ohio State who might want to “transfer down” and play for Marshall— even though the season is already underway. It was a valiant, tongue-in-cheek effort that put an emphasis on the changing landscape of the sport.

Marshall would love to add some Ohio State players!

Huff proudly promoted his team’s NIL partnership with Tudor’s Biscuit World. The local chain restaurant has approximately 50 locations in the Appalachian region of the United States (plus one in Florida). Most of them are in the Mountain State.

As you might infer from the name, Tudor’s serves classic country cooking focused around its biscuits.

A number of Ohio State players are getting paid a small fortune. They’re getting from through the school’s collective, THE Foundation, and other NIL partnerships throughout the city. Marshall’s collective, The Thunder Trust, does not have anywhere near as much money in the bank as this weekend’s opponent.

However, it has biscuits!!!!

Huff proudly boasted about his team’s deal with Tudor’s. He also tried to lure some of the fastest Buckeyes to switch sidelines. Although the former Nick Saban disciple is fully confident in the Thundering Herd’s ability to compete, he would love to get some additional speed on his side.

If “any of those guys that run really, really fast at Ohio State like Tudor’s biscuits,” Huff can promise them “all you can eat [biscuits], all day” if they transfer to Marshall.

Sounds like a pretty sweet deal, in my opinion.

There is just one issue with Huff’s proposal. If the fast players eat too many biscuits, they will be slow!
