The early reviews are in, and Marty Supreme is getting a ton of love from critics.
On Christmas, A24 will release their upcoming movie featuring Timothée Chalamet as table tennis player Marty Mauser, in the 1950s, who does everything in his power to make his dreams of becoming a world champion a reality.
The movie is directed by Josh Safdie, who helmed Uncut Gems, and many have described it as Catch Me If You Can meets Uncut Gems.

I happened to watch a screener of Marty Supreme, and it’s easily the best movie I’ve seen this year. The movie is a roller coaster ride from beginning to end, like Uncut Gems, and Chalamet delivers a fantastic performance that is funny and endearing, despite his character destroying everything in his path in an attempt to succeed.
There’s still a long way to the Oscars, but it’s clear that Chalamet will be at the ceremony and has a very good chance of winning.
