This afternoon LSU’s Tremont Waters gave us our first memorable moment of the 2019 NCAA Tournament today by knocking off No. 6 seed Maryland in exciting fashion.

Unfortunately it seems like refs missed Waters gathering his step which is an obvious travel call.
Tremont Waters traveled on his game-winner. Your gather step counts as a step in college, which means he took three steps pic.twitter.com/Biw6ykzX8w

Maryland fans were pretty upset with the refs for missing the call.
Terrible that Maryland is sent home because of a blown travel call on Tremont Waters.
Maryland deserved to win that game. Just a matter of time before LSU is forced to vacate that win anyways. #LSU #Maryland #MarchMadness

What the @NCAA refs, standing and watching Tremont Waters' obvious travel that won the game for LSU, did with their whistles: #Hilarious #Ineptitude #MarchMadness pic.twitter.com/sUpMCZRINf

@NCAA @marchmadness tired of refs blowing important calls and never taking any sort of accountability. Refs missed an easy travel call on a game winner in the Maryland-LSU game. Inexcusable.

Seriously refs.. a huge travel at the end of the game NOT called! That was the game winner!! A winner that shouldn’t have won! #ncaa #refs

Tremont Waters walked. 3 steps off the dribble. Get rid of the rule if you aren’t calling it. #LSU #MarchMadness #Maryland #Terps
