On Sunday night, at least one member of the Los Angeles Rams capped off his NFL career in a way most players can only dream of, as Eric Weddle announced his decision to “re-retire” after his team took home the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LVI.

It seems like there’s a chance he could be joined by at least a couple of teammates, as both Andrew Whitworth and Aaron Donald have admitted it’s possible the championship game could also be their last in the league—and it’s pretty hard to blame either of them when you consider what they managed to achieve prior to securing the ultimate prize.

Every member of the Rams got the chance to live out a lifelong dream as a result of what unfolded on the team’s home turf, and they also earned the right to take advantage of some experiences most people can only dream of in the wake of the victory. On Monday, Donald, Cooper Kupp, and Matthew Stafford are slated to get the V.I.P. treatment at Disneyland, but you have to assume the last name on that list is even more excited for another celebration that’s just around the corner.

After the final whistle blew on Sunday, former National Economic Council director Gene Sperling shared a story about the time he gave Stafford a tour of the West Wing during an event at the White House in 2012. The QB missed out on the opportunity to meet then-president Barack Obama, but he issued an amazing response after learning about the Commander in Chief’s absence.

It took around a decade, but it looks like his time has finally come.
