Nico Harrison is no longer the Dallas Mavericks GM, less than a year after trading away Luka Doncic.

On Monday night, Mavs owner Patrick Dumont had a lengthy conversation with a young Mavs fan sitting courtside wearing a Luka Doncic Lakers jersey.

According to The Athletic, who spoke with the fan, Dumont felt “horrible” about the Doncic trade.

“Basically Patrick was like, he feels horrible for the trade. And wants to make it up to us,” Dickason told The Athletic. “That’s basically what he said. He accepted my apology for it as well.”

Less than 24 hours after the conversation with the fan, Dumont fired Harrison.

Harrison’s firing comes days after fans loudly chanted “Fire Nico” while he was in attendance.

As of now, it’s unclear who will replace Harrison as the Mavs’ general manager.
