Max Homa had the shot of the day during Sunday’s final round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, draining an ace at the 15th hole. His reaction made the impressive shot even better.
Or maybe non-reaction is a better description. Homa acted like he’d been there before, giving the most casual response to that hole in one.
And been there, he has.
This was actually Homa’s second ace on the PGA Tour with his first coming in the 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational.

While the shot in and of itself was incredible, seeing the ball land then yo-yo back to the cup in perfect fashion, his relaxed reaction was even better. As if he knew it was going in off the club.
Homa just tossed his tee aside and gave a simple smile and high five after the fact.

Fans and media quickly commented on that observation as they posted replies on social media.
One popular golf account wrote, “Casual reaction for a FAR more than casual shot.”
Another follower said, “He made that look too easy.”
This fan commented, “He acted like it was nothing.”
The ace got Max Homa down to -4 on the day and -14 for the tournament. He’d cut one more stroke off that score across his final holes to finish at -15. That’s good for a 21st-place tie at the time of this writing.
