Maxx Crosby Cryptically Refutes Health Concerns After Having Season Terminated In Tense Meeting

Maxx Crosby will not play the last two games of the 2025 NFL season. He has been placed on Injured Reserve by the Las Vegas Raiders.

The defensive end was not happy about that decision. He’s since posted a series of curious messages on Instagram seemingly refuting any health concerns.

The Raiders are 2-13 and currently riding a nine-game losing skid. There is not much to play for in the season’s final contests.

The team will face the Giants in Week 17. The loser is on the fast track to the No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick in 2026.

Crosby is not interested in tanking. He does not care about the top selection. He wants to win the last two games of the year.

The Raiders won’t allow Maxx Crosby to finish the season.

The defender was placed on IR ahead of the matchup with New York. His season is officially done.

Crosby was reportedly unhappy with that ruling. He was said to have stormed out the team facility after a tense meeting in which he “vehemently” disagreed with his IR status.

Las Vegas announced the news in a statement online. He is expected to have surgery in the offseason.

We have made the decision to place Maxx Crosby on the Reserve/Injured list for the remainder of the 2025 season. After deliberate and thorough consultation with multiple top medical professionals, it became clear that this decision is in the best interest of both the franchise and the player. Maxx is the ultimate warrior, and he has fought extremely hard to compete each week with his teammates since injuring his knee mid-season

We are grateful for his extraordinary contributions. He is a true Raider on and off the field we look forward to his leadership and toughness into 2026 and beyond.

Crosby has been playing through a knee injury since October. He wanted to continue doing so in the final two regular season matchups. The Raiders had other plans.

The defender sent a message online.

Maxx Crosby posted a series of photos and videos showing him being active during the start of his injury stint. He is seen jumping on a trampoline with his daughter and playing basketball at his home.

The timing of the posts was curious as they came hours after learning his injury fate. Many believed it was a clear shot at the Raiders.

Crosby does not want to be on the sidelines for the last two games. He has no say in the matter. Las Vegas has shut its superstar down as it pursues a top draft pick. The next time we’ll see the pass rusher on the field will come in 2026.
