It has been an eventful week for Ja Morant.

Amid plenty of other off-court issues that have been swirling around him, Morant posted a video that appeared to feature him showing off a gun.

In the aftermath, the Memphis Grizzlies announced that Morant would be suspended for 2 games.

People around the sports world chimed in on the situation. Even Plaxico Burress offered some advice for Morant based on his own unfortunate experience with firearms.

Then the Colorado Police Department opened an investigation into the incident.

Today, they revealed that would be no charges against Morant as a result of the investigation.

Despite that good news for Morant, it looks like he’ll still be unavailable for a little while longer for the Grizzlies.

Following the news on the investigation, the Memphis Grizzlies announced some news of their own.

According to the team’s PR account on Twitter, Morant will remain away from the team for at least the next 4 games.

Morant had already missed the 2 games he was originally suspended for with the Grizzlies losing games to the Clippers and Lakers on a trip to Los Angeles.

Before Morant’s suspension, the Grizzlies were in possession of the 2nd seed in the Western Conference. They are now tied with the Kings for that spot and will have a tough time keeping themselves in the top 3 with the Suns surging after their acquisition of Kevin Durant.

With the playoffs approaching and seeding very much up for grabs, the Memphis Grizzlies will have to hope that Morant can get it together off the court quickly.
