Lionel Messi is getting ready for the MLS playoffs, but first, he spent some time connecting with local kids.
On Tuesday night, Messi surprised a group of kids at the Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to unveil his new Captain Messi toy that will be featured on the Hard Rock’s new kids menu.
“My kids and I love watching superhero movies together, so it was really special to work with Hard Rock to create Captain Messi,” Messi said in a statement. “I hope it helps inspire young fans and families to work hard and believe in themselves to do great things.”

The limited-edition Captain Messi toy will be available starting October 23rd, free with a Messi Kids Meal, and will be available to be purchased separately. Fans can also purchase a new Captain Messi retail collection featuring lunchboxes, water bottles, pajamas, and more, now available at Rock Shops worldwide.
The Hard Rock will also release two new kid’s menu items, cheese pizza, and pepperoni pizza, following the launch of the Captain Messi toy.

Hard Rock CEO Jim Allen spoke about the Hard Rock’s ongoing partnership with Messi at the event.
“He’s one of the most famous people in the world, but it’s more about his personality, his beautiful thoughts of life of giving to others and helping the children and just trying to do great philanthropic things together.”
At the event, Allen, Messi, and other members of the Seminole Hard Rock presented a $500,000 check to Chef José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and $500,000 to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts for those impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
