The New York Mets season has been filled with key moments that have helped them get to where they are now, and perhaps the biggest of them all was the signing of minor league infielder Jose Iglesias, who was considering retirement before hearing from the Mets.

Not only did the 34-year-old Iglesias bat .337 on the season (he closed out the regular season on a 22-game hit streak) and consistently produced with runners in scoring position, but Iglesias brought something immensely intangible to the Mets’ clubhouse, and that was good vibes.

Everything great about Iglesias was on full display against the Brewers went he dove head-first into first base to grind out a two-out infield single that tied the game for the Mets and sparked a rally that’d see them take a lead they’d never relinquish.

Iglesias’ vibes don’t just come from heart and hustle, however, but also his artistic talent, as the Cuban infielder is also a Latin pop artist who performs under the name Candelita. Candelita’s single “OMG” hit number 1 on the iTunes Latin Pop charts in June and became an anthem for the Mets’ summer and season.

Now in the thick of a playoff race — the Mets took a 1-0 lead over the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Wild Card Series on Tuesday, October 1 — Igelisas is also displaying he has a sense of seizing the moment, too, as it was announced ahead of Game 2 that Candelita had landed Silvestre Dangond and Pitbull — yes, Mr. Worldwide — for the remix of “OMG,” which will release on Friday, October 11.

Landing Pitbull for the “OMG” remix is a massive coup for Iglesias as Mr. 305 is one of the most popular recording artists in the world, having sold over 25 million studio albums and over 100 million singles worldwide.

The first pitch of Game 2 of the National League Wild Card Series between Iglesias’ New York Mets and the Milwaukee Brewers is at 7:38 p.m. EST. The winner of the series will take on the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League Divisional Series.
