The Miami Hurricanes are resorting to drastic measures to convince the college football playoff committee to get their team into the playoffs.
Last week, the Hurricanes were ranked two spots behind Notre Dame, potentially putting them out of the college football playoffs, despite having beaten the Fighting Irish earlier this season.
Hurricanes fans and reporters have pushed back against the committee’s rankings.
“They gotta go do their due diligence to make sure they study what really happened, former Hurricanes legend Edgerrin James told us. “Head-to-head, it favors us. Strength of schedule it favors us. The commun opponent, it favors us, so if they do right, which they should, Miami should be in.”
On Saturday, Hurricanes fans went out of their way to buy a banner ad that is currently flying over the college football committee’s hotel that reads “H2H matters, get Miami in.”

The committee is set to meet on Sunday, following Championship Saturday, to reveal the final rankings for the college football playoff.
We’ll have to wait and see if the banner works.
