The Miami Police Department is getting ratio’d into oblivion by NFL fans after making a post about speeding on X (Twitter) in the wake of the incident with Tyreek Hill.

“Speeding is more than just breaking the law,” the post reads.

“The consequences: – Greater potential for loss of vehicle control. – Increased stopping distance. – Increased degree of crash severity.”

The accompanying graphic also has two taglines: “Going fast puts lives on the line” and “Speeding catches up with you.”

Sure, the Miami Police Department may have had this post scheduled and ready to go, regardless of the kerfuffle with Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Or they may not. Either way, NFL fans are piling on in the comments section of the post ripping Miami PD for the timing of the post.

“Oof Miami PD. Read the room,” one person wrote.

“If only Tyreek saw this before he decided to speed,” another person commented.

“Speeding is bad. Escalation of a traffic stop is worse,” someone else added.

“Yall bad at this,” another comment read.

Meanwhile, one of the police officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative leave, pending an investigation.

“Following the incident involving Tyreek Hill, I have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter,” Miami-Dade Police Department director Stephanie V. Daniels said in a statement.

“One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is conducted.

“I’m committed to transparency and accountability to the community with any situation involving my officers.”

As for where this all goes from here, Tyreek Hill is reportedly considering legal action against the police and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, called for the officers to be fired.

“I think the police officers that did that to Tyreek shouldn’t be in that position,” Rosenhaus said on the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz. “They should be let go.”
