There are plenty of perks that come with being one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and Michael Jordan has once again proven that’s the case with the private jet he’s added to his impressive collection of assets.

If the folks at Forbes are to be believed, Michael Jordan currently boasts a net worth of approximately $3.5 billion thanks in large part to the lucrative sponsorship deal he signed with Nike at the start of an NBA career where he earned a relatively paltry $90 million in contract money.

It’s been more than 20 years since His Airness played his final game, but he’s kept very busy since then with investments that include a minority stake in the Charlotte Hornets, a NASCAR team, the wildly exclusive golf course he constructed in Florida, and his own brand of tequila.

Jordan has also used some of the billions of dollars at his disposal to amass an impressive fleet of transportation options that includes the $8 million 84-foot boat he routinely harnesses to compete in high-stakes fishing tournaments as well as the $61.5 million Gulfstream 550 he’s relied on to roam the skies.

However, it appears he recently decided to upgrade.

Earlier this week, a pilot and aviation expert based in Palm Beach (the ritzy hub located around 30 minutes south of MJ’s home in Jupiter, Florida) shared a video of the basketball legend’s newest acquisition: a Gulfstream G650ER private jet with a price tag of $70 million.

The plane in question features a registration number paying homage to his career, as “N236MJ” is a nod to his jersey numbers and the six championships he racked up as a member of the Chicago Bulls.

It also features a custom paint job that includes his signature logo on the tail and the elephant print designed that first appeared on the Air Jordan 3—touches sports business expert Joe Pompliano estimates set him back around $500,000.

Must be nice.
