Michigan fans haven’t been happy with ESPN’s coverage of the team’s sign-stealing scandal, and they might boycott next weekend’s edition of College GameDay because of it.

For the past month, ESPN’s Pete Thamel has been at the forefront of reports of Michigan’s sign-stealing scandal that led to Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh being suspended for the season.

On Saturday, ESPN announced they will be in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the annual rivalry game between Michigan and Ohio State.

Some Michigan fans are already thinking about boycotting ESPN’s trip to Ann Arbor.

“The best thing Michigan fans could do is just not show up. GameDay is only GameDay because of the crowd behind it. No-show and take away the atmosphere they crave.” commented Detroit sports podcaster Michael Spath.

It’s highly unlikely that Michigan fans would boycott College GameDay, but you can expect a ton of anti-ESPN signs in the crowd.
