Michigan’s college football upset over rival Ohio State ended in chaos when the Wolverines planted a flag on the Buckeyes‘ midfield logo. A scuffle broke out between the two teams, which resulted in players being pepper sprayed by police officers.
Body cam footage from one of those law enforcement workers has now been released. It provided an inside look at the ugly brawl as crew members attempted to separate the sides.
Ohio State entered that rivalry matchup as a three-score favorite. It quickly found itself in a dog fight. Michigan’s defense stymied the Buckeyes, holding the team to just 10 points on the day.
As time expired, the Wolverines sealed the victory with a game-winning field goal. To celebrate the emphatic upset, players rushed to midfield to mark their territory.
The win represented Michigan’s fourth straight in the series. This was by far the most surprising outcome. The Wolverines were excited, but Ohio State wasn’t just going to sit by and watch the disrespect.
Buckeye players quickly gathered around their foes, attempting to escort the UM flag from the playing field. All hell broke loose!
