Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel appears to know that he’s in the hot seat.
On Sunday, the Miami Dolphins got embarrassingly blown out by the 1-5 Cleveland Browns.
After the game, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio reported that McDaniel could get fired by the Dolphins sooner rather than later.
Stephen Ross had planned to wait until after the season to make a decision on a potential coaching change. A 1-6 start and a blowout loss at Cleveland could change the timetable.

During his postgame press conference, McDaniel nervously rambled about the changes the team needed to make going forward.
“Um, because uh, we’re not, I mean, uh, if you, uh, are negatively affecting the football team, uh, routinely. um, you know, uh, uh, assess another player.”

It’ll be interesting to see what the Dolphins do, but it’s hard to imagine McDaniel keeps his job after the loss to the Browns.
