After what has felt like an eternity of waiting, Mike Tyson is finally set to step foot into a boxing ring with Jake Paul for their definitely not scripted showdown at AT&T Stadium in Dallas. But before the two could actually lace up the gloves and fight one another, things got physical.

Tyson and Paul weighed in on Thursday before squaring off and taking part in all the ceremonial nonsense. But apparently something Paul did got under the skin of the “baddest man on the planet.” As the two came face-to-face, Tyson hauled off and delivered a right-handed smack to Paul’s face.
Now, the first thought that a lot of fans had after the incident was that it was all part of the plan. Surely, Paul told Tyson to slap him in order to promote their fight even further. After all, Paul didn’t even more or attempt to defend himself. If he were actually worried things might turn violent, he’d have put his hands up or backed away, right?
But the slap was actually a result of something far sillier. Apparently when they came face-to-face, Paul accidentally stepped on Tyson’s foot.
“I was in my socks and he had on shoes,” Tyson told The New York Post after the incident. “He stepped on my toe because he is a f—ing a–-hole. I wanted to think it happened by accident. But now I think it may have happened on purpose.
“I was in a lot of pain. I had to reciprocate.”
Look, nobody likes to get their foot stepped on. And Jake Paul is the type of dude to do something stupid like that on purpose. So maybe Iron Mike is right. But the whole thing still sort of reeks of manufactured BS. That being said, I can’t wait to tune in.
