The Northwestern basketball team took down Big Ten rival Indiana on Wednesday night, 79-70. The Wildcats brutally trolled while watching their opponent collapse.
Fans in the stands were seen ridiculing the Hoosiers as they continue through an up and down season. Northwestern was able to keep its lengthy winning streak in the series alive one game longer.
The Wildcats have now beaten Indiana five straight times. That streak began when Mike Woodson took over as head coach in Bloomington.
Northwestern has owned Indiana dating back to the 2020-21 season, winning six of seven meetings. The lone Hoosiers win was a double overtime thriller four years ago. The script has completely flipped in the rivalry.
Mike Woodson was hired as Indiana’s head coach on March 28, 2021.
Woodson has now faced Northwestern five (5) times.
The Hoosiers have lost all 5 games.
The last time IU lost 5 games in a row to Northwestern was 1913-15.

For reference, Indiana great Bob Knight won 51 of 54 meetings against the Wildcats. He ended his career on a 22-game winning streak. Times have clearly changed!
Northwestern fell behind 31-25 in the first half on Wednesday after jumping out to a quick 10-point lead. The Wildcats rebounded in the second half, erupting for 54 points to regain the advantage.
NU went on a quick 19-4 run to put what had been a competitive game on ice late. Fans trolled after seeing the Hoosiers collapse in the final 10 minutes of play.

Calls for the Mike Woodson’s job have grown loud after seeing the Hoosiers get embarrassed in Big Ten play multiple times. The cries won’t get any quieter this week.
The head coach has now fallen to 0-5 against Northwestern. In doing so, he’s done something not seen at Indiana in over a century. The Wildcats aren’t going to let him forget it.
