The NFL Pro Bowl gives an opportunity for some of the league’s biggest stars to come together in the same place and enjoy skills competitions and some flag football while earning a nice vacation to Orlando, Florida.

But, not all the players are well-known. Many of the obscure players to play in the Pro Bowl over the years have been those selected for their prowess on special teams units, like kick and punt coverage.

The most notable player to fit this mold lately is longtime New England Patriot Matthew Slater. Slater has made five All-Pro teams and ten Pro Bowls in his sixteen-year career in New England. His position is officially wide receiver, but he has one catch in his entire career.

Enter Pittsburgh Steelers special teams ace Miles Killebrew. He earned his spot in the Pro Bowl with an excellent season this year, and the eighth-year man got the opportunity to participate in the Pro Bowl Games, a series of skill challenges pitting the AFC and NFC against each other.

One of the skill challenges was to catch as many “punts” as possible without dropping the balls the player had previously caught. Miles Killebrew incredibly caught six NFL football without dropping any of them.

That is some incredible strategy. He absolutely had thought about how he would do it and possibly even trained for it ahead of time. Knowing that you need to wait until the final moment to put that ball between your legs and then fall down after it’s caught is some next-level thoughts.

I’m not sure how many people have ever held a regulation NFL football, but they are pretty big. They’re around 11 inches long, and at its thickest, around 28 inches in circumference. Having six of them controlled at one time is truly insane!
