What was supposed to be a very promising Milwaukee Bucks season full of championship aspirations came up short in a very embarrassing fashion for the second straight year. And, the Bucks are going to be making changes with a new coach.
After winning the championship in 2021 under coach Mike Budenholzer, many thought the Milwaukee Bucks would win a few more with their core of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday in the next couple of years. But, they fell short of the finals in 2022, losing to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. And, they crashed out of the playoffs in five games as the top seed in the Eastern Conference against the Miami Heat.
But, the Bucks decided to go in a different direction at head coach from the coach that brought them an NBA title.

The 58-year-old spent 17 seasons in the NBA, before helping turn around a struggling Warriors franchise. Though he was fired one year before the Warriors became champions, his development of players like Steph Curry and Klay Thompson was vital to their dynastic run.
Would he do a good job as the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks? Who knows. But, it would be fun, that’s for sure.
