Minnesota Timberwolves Naz Reid Tattoo Trend Leads To Unintended Consequences For Team’s COO

The Minnesota Timberwolves went from one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA a year ago to a genuine title contender this season.

A large part of that transformation is backup big man Naz Reid, who won the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Award and has been nothing short of sensational for the T-Wolves.

Reid, a former undrafted free agent, has become a cult hero in Minnesota, so much so that hundreds of fans are getting his name tattooed on them.

A tattoo artist in Roseville, a suburb of Minneapolis, offered to tattoo Reid’s name on any willing fan for just $20. The response was even more than he could have imagined.

FOX 9 in Minneapolis-St. Paul reports that Beloved Studios in Roseville has already given more than 100 Naz Reid tattoos with plenty of other people on a waiting list.

But there’s just one problem.

Naz Reid Tattoo Trend Leads To T-Wolves Executive’s Phone Number Leaking

During the news segment, apprentice tattoo artist JC received an invite from the Timberwolves to attend Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Denver Nuggets as a guest of the team.

JC showed the invite to the reporter. But nobody thought to blur out the phone number listed on the text.

The text says that the person’s assistant is Laura Janquart. Janquart’s social media page states that she is a a senior executive assistant for both the Timberwolves and the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA.

Who is Janquart an assistant to?

Well, her Instagram bio says that it’s for T-Wolves COO/CEO Ryan Tanke.

A quick google search then showed that the number that JC revealed on the news story does link back to Tanke, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ executive.

So while it was undoubtedly an incredible moment for the young artist, he also appears to have doxxed the Chief Operating Officer of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the process.

Yikes.
