The Minnesota Vikings have been playing fantastic football all year as one of the NFL’s biggest surprises. At 14-2, a win against the Lions on Sunday Night Football next will get them home-field advantage in the NFC throughout the playoffs.
Not only have they been winning a lot, but they’ve been having plenty of fun, with frequent choreographed celebrations. On Sunday, they took inspiration from a key part of millennial pop culture lore.
The Vikings played one of their best games of the season on Sunday, taking 20-3 and 27-10 leads en route to a crucial 27-25 win over the rival Packers to set up a winner-take-all showdown with the Lions next week. Considering that the Vegas win total for the Vikings hovered around 6 or 7 before the season, it’s been one of the great seasons in NFL history, relative to expectations.
They’ve loved celebrating all year. The NFL allows team celebrations, and no one has taken advantage like the Vikings.
Here’s one from earlier in the year during a win over the Atlanta Falcons.

On Sunday, they broke out their best one yet, borrowing a dance from the Disney Channel movie High School Musical.
@nfloncbs Vikings really did the High School Musical celly 😂 #fyp #foryou #nflfootball #vikings #highschoolmusical
If you’re of a certain age and deny that High School Musical had some bops, you’re lying. We’ve all seen you sing karaoke to it.
How do the nail these? They practice!

The Vikings will be looking to keep the celebrations going all the way to the Super Bowl.
