The Tulsa Drillers Minor League Baseball announced its newest, most flavorful alternate identity: the Ranch Dippers. Naturally, with such a delicious change they also created a bunch of tasty new merchandise to go with it.

Like the Minor League Baseball Lake Country DockHounds, who will be changing their team name to the Wisconsin Dive Bars briefly this summer, the Tulsa Drillers know their audience. After all, according to at least one semi-scientific and not-too-recent study, ranch dressing is the most popular condiment in Oklahoma.

Making the Tulsa Drillers’ promotion even better, they have partnered with Mazzio’s Italian Eatery, which specializes in pizza and wings – two things that go great with ranch dressing – which Mazzio’s also specializes in creating.

The Ranch Dippers name change may be temporary, but the merch has no expiration date

As is the case whenever a minor league sports team changes its name for a promotion, the Tulsa Drillers becoming the Ranch Dippers will only be a temporary move. Fans will be able to take advantage of the change only on May 16 and 17 and August 13 and 14.

The Ranch Dippers merch, on the other hand, is already available and will be for the entire 2026 MiLB season.
